Diego’s Latin American snacks
Microwave cheese sauce and pour it over individual bowls of crisp corn tortillas to make nachos. Chop tomato, green pepper and avocado and sprinkle the mixture on top. Alternately, make cheese quesadillas by layering grated jack cheese and sliced tomatoes between two flour tortillas and popping them in the oven until the cheese is melted. Serve with individual bowls of homemade or store-bought guacamole.

Baby Jaguar sandwiches
These little paw-print sandwiches will delight your party guests, and they’re easy to make. Make peanut butter sandwiches using white or brown sandwich slices, or use almond butter if any of the guests have a peanut allergy. Then, using a round cookie cutter, stamp two sandwich rounds out of each sandwich. Finally, make a paw-print stencil using cardboard and an X-acto knife, and use it to sift a fine layer of cocoa on the top of each sandwich round to make the dark pad prints on each Baby Jaguar paw.

Baby Jaguar cookies
Roll out homemade or store-bought chocolate cookie dough and cut out paw-print shaped cookies. You can leave them plain or ice the paw pads in a contrasting shade.

Rainforest/Safari sticks
Fill mini paper sacks with carrot and celery sticks and decorate the sacks with safari or rainforest stickers. Serve with a simple dip of ½ cup yogurt, ½ cup mayonnaise, or with sour cream and onion dip.

Savory cheese animal crackers
Bake a batch of cheesy, crisp crackers in animal shapes with a savory animal cracker recipe.
