The Dark Knight Party Food and Snack Ideas

dark knight table coverThe food at a Dark Knight party should fit with the theme and the age of the kids. Remember, since you are tailoring to kids aged 11-14 you can’t just have finger-food as boys are hungry at this age! Here are a few ideas that the kids will love while sticking to the theme of the party! Finally, don’t forget to add your Batman The Dark Knight tableware to the party.

Two Face Pizza Let the kids make a Two Face individual pizza. ½ of one thing, ½ of another. You can either use small pizza doughs or pita shells. Have bowls of sauce, shredded cheese and various toppings and let them go to town. Just bake at 350 until the cheese is bubbly and serve.

Fondue: Remember, Bantam The Dark Knight is all about the conflict about what’s on the inside vs. what’s on the outside. Batman is also rather “retro”. Fondue is a perfect party snack on both accounts! Melt some cheese in fondue pots and let the boys have fun dipping bread, apples, pretzels and other fruits and foods in to the cheese. Have the boys get adventurous and try a few types of cheeses they haven’t tried before. Get a few types of bread and fruits they haven’t tried before too. This is about adventure!!

Chocolate Fountain: Pretty much along those same lines – only it’s got the whole “dark” action going too. Plus it’s chocolate! Have bowls of pretzels, marshmallows, gummi bears, Swedish fish, strawberries, kiwi fruit, cinnamon bears…the list goes on and on. It’s a guaranteed home run!

Joker Sundaes: Okay, it’s messy, but a lot of fun! Have cartons of various types of ice cream, every type of sauce you can think of, sprinkles, marshmallows, cherries, nuts, fruit. Think colorful and crazy just like the Joker and let them make a Joker sundae to enjoy!

Gotham City Punch: You have to have a dark punch for the Dark Knight! This one is perfect! The black flavor looks like Gotham City at night, but tastes delicious! Simply, mix together and serve in a large bowl chilled.
