Batman – The Dark Knight Party Supplies
Batman has been a popular birthday theme for years. Younger boys have loved Batman and Robin themed birthday parties where Batman and Robin take on various villains such as the Riddler, Catwoman, the Joker and the Penguin and always manage to win and save the citizens of Gotham City.
The later installments of the Batman movies take on a much darker and complex theme. Bruce Wayne has more of a struggle with his Batman persona. While the movies don’t appeal to younger kids (and really aren’t appropriate for them!) they do appeal to pre-teens and teenage boys as well as many adults. Teen boys identify strongly with the “who am I and how do I fit in” that Bruce Wayne struggles with as well.
Batman The Dark Knight birthday party can be a very fun theme for the 11-14 year old boys. However, it’s a funny age. They are in that “am I too old for a birthday theme?” age…yet they still want to have fun. Without a theme and a direction at this age, boys end up sitting around playing video games.
If you can take a theme, and make it a good time for your birthday boy and his friends, they will have a GREAT time, and it can be a birthday party they will be talking about for a long time. It just needs to be age appropriate (not too young), active, and fun. We have plenty of ideas to create a great Batman The Dark Knight party!
