Princess and the Frog Party Decorations

However, if you are pressed for time, or if the birthday girl really loves the Disney “Princess and the Frog” movie, you can decorate for the party in no time using the ready-to-go kit ($39.99 at Celebrate Express). The kit includes everything you decorate the party with official merchandise: eight invitations, eight dinner plates, cups, forks, spoons and activity placemats, 16 napkins, a Princess and the Frog tablecover and centerpiece, a foil balloon, and balloons, curling ribbon, crepe paper, star confetti and cake candles in coordinating colors.

Homemade Princess and the Frog Decorations
If you would rather stay away from the official Disney merchandise and put together your own unique look, you can dress up the room with a pink and green theme (pink for the princess and green for the frog prince). Pick up party tableware, balloons and crepe paper in coordinating colors, and accent the room with touches of gold. Cut out simple gold crown shapes from gold wrapping paper and tape them all them over the walls. You can also make a big three-dimensional crown as a party table centerpiece. Cut a repeating pattern of serrated crown points from a length of cardstock. Spray-paint the card gold or cover it with gold tissue or wrapping paper, then tape the ends together to form a circular crown. Decorate the crown with big acrylic rhinestone jewels in pink and green colors, purchased from a craft store or dollar store.

You can also create a magical lily pond for the girls to play in. Start by cutting a meter or two of sturdy blue fabric (or a cheap blue bedsheet) into an irregular pond shape and throw it on the floor of the party room. Make a few lily pads out of green construction paper, and cut out a few pink and white water lilies. These can be flat cut-outs if you want to keep things simple, or try making three-dimensional flowers by gluing together several layers of petals and bending them upwards. As a final touch, scatter a few inflatable frog beach balls in the water. After the party, you can distribute the frogs among the guests as part of their Princess and the Frog favors bag. Hang green streamers from the walls and ceiling to complete the effect.

You can also purchase a Princess and the Frog personalized party banner (as shown below) to complete the decorations. A party banner is a great way to not only decorate the room but also have a great souvenir from a fun and special day!
